Natalie had a great trip. She was in a great mood most of the time, slept occasionally, and made new friends everywhere she went.
Here Natalie is at SFO and excited about her first 11+ hour flight on a Boeing 747 (in the background).
Sleeping on the plane in her bassinet - for a total of about 2 of the 11 hours - and the rest of the time was spent smiling at everyone else on the plane.
Really tired at the airport in Paris, but she now has increased her country count!
Finally in Avignon to hang with Aunt Sarah and Uncle Marc. Everyone is having a much needed snack on the porch after an 11 hour flight from SFO to CDG, a 3 hour layover in Paris, a 1+ hour flight to Marseilles, and then about an hour drive to Avignon.
Inspecting the courtyard and Aunt Sarah and Uncle Marc's place for future fun...
First restaurant in Avignon.
Here Natalie is inspecting her first castle for holes and small debris at Château des Baux-de-Provence. I think she found something.
In the small village at Baux, Natalie happily demonstrated that she could take her hat off all by herself. That would be a re-occurring event through out the trip. She didn't like the sun in her eyes, but also didn't like her hat, and she wouldn't listen to her parents about what to do about that problem.
Much more to come!
Love the pics! And interesting to see the bassinet. I had never before seen such a thing until one was essentially plonked in my lap on the flight to Beijing. It was part of a very miserable flight. Maybe it would have helped if the baby had been as cute as Nat. Looking forward to reading about/seeing pics of the rest of the trip!
