The girls got to share their first Disneyland trip, although I think that Natalie got a little more out of it than Clara.
First up was Clara's first flight! Natalie got the window seat and Clara got the Mommy seat. Here we are getting ready for take off.
Airborne!
We stayed at a hotel overlooking Disneyland, and we could watch the nightly fireworks from our beds. Interesting photography note: When the bed is used as a tripod, and a 3 year-old is giggling and jumping around, stable shots are difficult. Who would have guessed? Here is just a small sampling - it was quite the show.
Now we get to the good stuff. The morning featured several princess metldowns, but we made it to the promised land just a few minutes after it opened. Of course we proceeded to stand in the first of many lines, but we eventually made it into the park. Someone was refusing to cooperate right at the start...
...but then we made it to the line that was the goal of all this - the line to meet Elsa and Anna (from Frozen). Clara was awake and excited, and Mommy gets gold stars for nursing her while standing in line.
Then just 1 hour and 45 minutes after getting in line, we meet them...
Then an avalanche of princess encounters began...
The closest that we came to actually going on a ride was watching the Flying Dumbo ride:
But a seat in a stationary Dumbo was an easy sell.
After a full day, Clara was ready for something else.
Happy times!
