Clara's 1st Birthday Extravaganza!

Clara stretched out her birthday celebration over a couple of days. 

Here she is in her finery on the morning of her birthday.  Her big sister even made her a crown. She definitely realized something special was going on.  She was in a super great mood and while I was driving her to day care she was just talking away.

At the end of the day, we all went out for dinner to celebrate. Here she is showing off her chopstick skills.

After a fiesty dinner, we returned home for some ice cream.  Clara got her own little bowl...and wanted to spoon it herself...and then ate just about all of it...

 ...and then was sad when it was over.

But soon the fun was to begin again.  The birthday party bash was on Saturday!  Clara wore her new party dress which really showed off her standing skills.

She was also sporting a little bit of crazy hair...

As the party progressed to the eating stage, someone showed off her bad manners.

 And then it was cake time!  Beautiful cake from Little Bee.

 Clara was bewildered with the singing of Happy Birthday.

 But it didn't take long for her to understand that the cake was for eating - and that it was yummy.

 A short while later the cake was smooshed and the birthday girl was filthy and very happy.

And that was the big #1!
