I'm hoping that I survived one of the craziest days of my life today. Apparently Natalie is going through her 3-week growth spurt. She spent today demanding a feeding once every 45 minutes/1.5 hours. When you consider that feeding her actually takes about 25 to 40 minutes, that doesn't leave much downtime in between. I'm pooped! And since Natalie is finally asleep (who knows for how long), I'm going to bed.
If anyone has any insight into Natalie's behavior -- and the fact that she does frustratingly little actual swallowing during these feedings -- please let me know. I think I'm just a big human pacifier, but I have no clue on how to discern real hunger from comfort requests. I could use any moral support or advice you have to offer.

Hey Ginny sorry to hear Natalie's being so demanding - my new mom friend told me that putting in black out curtains helped her daughter start sleeping for longer periods of time.
ReplyDeleteMaybe after this growth spurt is over she'll weigh as much as Nyala!
