Natalie has become a little more independent minded lately and enjoyed running around the rental house in the Gold Country missing some clothing.
There was a nice mother-daughter moment for a split second, but the lag between pressing the button on the camera and it actually taking a picture allowed Natalie time to freak out and whack her mother in the head.
Later in the day everyone was excited to go to the Kite Day celebration in the nearby town of San Andreas. We saw kites and even bought one that wouldn't do much but spin rapidly in the air and then crash into the ground.
This was as close to getting in the pool as she would get - but she did enjoy dangling her feet and splashing.
After a fun day of running around, someone is a little tired. Note the halo effect in the image - this was due to Natalie grabbing the camera earlier in the day and rubbing the lens on her face and mouth...very innovative technique.
Back in SF, the Jetta is getting it's first cleaning in like 3 years or so. The little cleaner is a natural, she immediately picked up the scrubber and went to work.
Here she is dressed up in her fancy french dancing shoes. She's looking all grown up!
This is a photo taken by the shoe model herself. One of the best shots that she's ever taken - it is of something more than just a closeup of her hands legs or clothes.
And the last shot of the post - it may look like a disaster took place, but it's really just a bunch of stuffed animals being forced to take naps under blankets.
